The state of Georgia, a key battleground state that was won by former Vice President Joe Biden this election, certified its election results Friday. The certified outcome places Biden at 2.74m votes and Trump at 2.61m votes, giving Biden roughly a 13,000 point lead. Other key battleground states are expected to certify their results later this week. For instance, Michigan, another key state that Biden won by roughly 3 percent, will certify its results on Monday, and Pennsylvania, also decisively given to Biden, will also certify its results on Monday. Certification of results makes it very difficult for any legal challenges, though the incumbent President continuously vocalizes his doubts about the results. The official election, when the electors cast their ballots, is expected to take place on December 14th.
